Leila Farjami
Leila Farjami is an Iranian writer, poet, and translator residing in Southern California. She has published three books of poetry in Iran and USA, “Seven Seas, One Droplet” by Roozgar Publications in Tehran (2001), “The Confession Letters” by Ketab Publications in USA (2008), and “Mud” by Nashre Ahange Digar in Iran (2010); all three books are in Persian. Additionally, Leila has translated and published selected poems of Kabir, an Indian mystic and poet, published by Nashre Ahange Digar in Iran (2010).
Leila currently has her own book of poetry in English under publication entitled “The Mud Bird” in addition to an anthology of Iranian poetry translated in English. Leila’s poetry and translations in Persian have been widely published by various Iranian literary journals in and outside Iran since 1998.
Aside from her literary endeavors, Leila holds an M.A. degree in Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy and practices in southern California.
